The sports card market is still heating up with no end in sight. Most recently PWCC auctioned off a coveted 2003-04 Topps Chrome Refractor Lebron James rookie card, graded a PSA 10. This is the most sought after Lebron James rookie card and can be compared to Michael Jordan’s 1986 Fleer rookie.
High grade Michael Jordan Fleer rookie cards have been on fire recently, especially PSA 10’s which have fetched a whopping $200,000 📈 at Goldin Auctions.
A step down from the Gem Mints also command huge sums of money. A few nights ago a mint (BGS 9) copy sold at PWCC’s auction for nearly $30,000.
Back to back MVP winner, Giannis Antetokoumnpo’s rookie card sells at auction for $35,000. This rare card is a Panini Prizm (Silver) and was graded a gem mint 10 by PSA which is why it commanded the premium price tag. 📈
Collectors are still hungary for high end rookie cards of legends in sports. Last night PWCC sold Derek Jeter’s 1993 Upper Deck SP rookie, graded BGS 9.5 for a little over $20k. 📈
A new record has been set for the most expensive sports card ever sold. Actor Rob Gough purchased a Mickey Mantle Topps rookie card, graded a PSA 9 for a mind boggling $5,200,000. This price has eclipsed the previous record of $3.9 million for a Mike Trout 1 of 1 Superfractor rookie card.
